Vascular Surgery

What is Vascular Surgery?

Vascular surgery is the treatment of conditions and various symptoms within the veins of the leg using minimally invasive surgical tools.

Patients may be experiencing symptoms such as:

  • aching or throbbing pain
  • leg heaviness/fatigue
  • swelling
  • skin irritation or sores (ulcers)
  • skin discoloration
  • painful swelling of the veins (phlebitis)

Our goal is to work with our patients to prevent and heal your injuries and empower you to take the next step towards a healthier and more productive pain free life.

What can you expect on your first visit:

On your first visit, you will be evaluated by Dr. Richard Daniels who will look to develop an entire picture of your case and will ask you questions regarding your pain, your function andmedical history. Dr. Daniels will then use ultrasound to examine the deep and superficial veins in your legs. He will look for reflux within the veins and obstructions that can cause pain, swelling and cramping.

Once your case is understood and an obstruction or reflux is found, he will develop a plan to ablate the vein using minimally invasive treatment that can be done in our office at a later scheduled date.
