Dr. Sean Basinger, PT, DPT
CEO/President
Dr. Sean, owner and founder of Health and Fitness Professionals, received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), now Rutgers, in Newark, NJ in 2009.
Dr. Sean has the utmost experience working with outpatient orthopedics, sports-related injuries, post-operative conditions, and geriatric rehabilitation. Dr. Sean has worked with members of our U.S. Olympic Team, world record holders, and semi-professional athletes.
Dr. Sean has enjoyed, and still currently enjoys, playing both ice and roller hockey for the past 20+ years. He is currently married with two boys and enjoys sports, fitness, and spending time with his family and friends.
Dr. Kevin McElroy
Medical Director
As a highly regarded board-certified physician, Kevin McElroy, DO, is a leader in modern pain-relieving therapies and overall wellness.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Dr. McElroy went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Stratford, New Jersey, where he graduated as valedictorian.
Dr. McElroy serves as an attending physician at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey, in the department of orthopedics. He’s also an attending physician at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey, where he cares for patients in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Throughout his career, Dr. McElroy has been published in several peer-reviewed publications on the subject of pain management and joint replacements. Dr. McElroy was instrumental in developing the interventional pain medicine fellowship program at JFK Medical Center. This highly competitive program provides comprehensive pain medicine training to selected physician candidates.
While Dr. McElroy treats a variety of acute and chronic conditions, he focuses on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of disabling medical conditions and joint pain. Patients of Dr. McElroy commend his dedication to patient-centric care and his willingness to improve the lives of his patients.
Dr. Richard Daniels
Interventional Radiologist
Dr. Daniels is the Medical Director of Daniels Vein Center, and is a highly skilled vascular specialist. He is board certified physician by the American Board of Radiology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology. He received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey and earned his doctorate from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his Radiology residency at Pennsylvania Hospital, University of Pennsylvania Health System, where he served as Chief Resident. Upon completion of his residency Dr. Daniels completed a fellowship in the Interventional Radiology/Angiography at Temple University Hospital.
Dr. Daniels’ extensive experience in Interventional Radiology has prepared him to address vein disease in its entirety. His interest is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of venous disorders specializing in highly advanced and minimally invasive out-patient procedures for treating a wide variety of venous conditions, which include varicose veins and spider veins.
Dr. Steven Ferrer
Pain Management Physician
After earning his Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Dr. Ferrer earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, where he attended on the Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarship. Dr. Ferrer went on to complete an internal medicine internship at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, New Jersey. He completed both his residency and fellowship training through Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey and JFK Johnson Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. Dr. Ferrer prides himself on being able to perform a variety of effective nonsurgical procedures where he can optimize patient outcomes and shorter recovery times for various types of conditions and injuries. He has extensive training and certification in medical acupuncture to help patients recover from chronic pain-causing conditions and sports injuries.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ferrer has helped author articles on youth rotator cuff injuries and interventional pain management assessment techniques for pain medicine fellows. Dr. Ferrer regularly hosts community lectures on the numerous innovative treatment options for pain management. Patients of Dr. Ferrer appreciate his willingness to go above and beyond to ensure they experience relief from pain and receive the education they need to be informed about their health care. Dr. Ferrer wants to help patients get back to their regular activities quickly without pain or surgical procedures.
Dr. Katie Cocilovo
Director of Rehabilitation
Dr. Katie Cocilovo is a Physical Therapist at the Health and Fitness Professional office located in Woodbridge, NJ. She has experience treating a wide variety of conditions including post-surgical orthopedic care, athletes of all ages and geriatrics. In addition, she completed one of her clinical internships in a specialized neurological outpatient clinic treating various neurological conditions such as post-stroke, post-concussion management, Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Katie received her Bachelor’s in Health and Exercise Science from The College of New Jersey prior to attending The University of Delaware, where she received a Master’s in Anatomy and Clinical Health Science and Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the beach, with friends and family, or hiking with her dog, Riley. Dr. Katie utilizes a hands on approach to create personalized therapy plans to help patients return to their desired level of function while also having fun!
Sam Shen
Acupuncturist
Sam graduated from Northwestern Health and Sciences University with a Master’s of Chinese Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2016 and has been practicing in New Jersey for the past three years. He specializes in acupuncture, tuina, rock taping, and fire cupping.
Growing up in a Chinese medicine saturated culture, Sam knows how acupuncture and Chinese medicine can help patients to improve their quality of life. He has extensive experience in treating, from kids to seniors, and from external trauma to internal medicine. When Sam is free, he enjoys traveling, watching sports, exploring museums and restaurants. He is a big Minnesota Gophers fan!
Dr. Phil Ragone
Chiropractor
Dr. Phil Ragone is a chiropractor at the Health & Fitness Professionals location in Woodbridge, New Jersey. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Hofstra University before attending New York Chiropractic College, from which he graduated magna cum laude. Following graduation, Dr. Phil managed a large multi-disciplinary practice in Valley Stream, New York for over 15 years. He also opened a small family practice in Staten Island, New York.
Dr. Phil believes in a total body approach to health. Dr. Phil has, over the years, gained experience treating patients of all ages with various and challenging conditions. He utilizes a hands-on approach with patients and loves to educate them on how to live a pain free, healthier life.
When not at work, Dr. Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He is an avid runner and sports enthusiast.
Michael Kelly
Physical Therapist Assistant
After over a decade of retail management, Michael decided to pursue a different career path and return to Rutgers University for his Exercise Science Degree. Michael graduated from Rutgers with his Bachelors Degree in 2014. After a year as a personal trainer, Michael wanted to change his focus to injury prevention and rehabilitation. He then went on to earn his Physical Therapy Assistant Degree at Union County College in 2016. Since becoming a PTA, Michael has worked with everyone from professional athletes to the geriatric population. Michael has taken multiple manually focused continuing education courses to assure his patients feel better with every treatment. He loves to pull from his unique background to customize treatment to return a patient to their desired activity level.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys kayaking with his wife, fishing and playing golf. Michael has also been practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a grappling martial art, for 10 years.
Dr. Sara Choe
Physical Therapist
Dr. Sara Choe is a Physical Therapist at the Health and Fitness Professionals office located in Woodbridge, NJ. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science and Minor in Psychology at University of the Sciences and went on to receive her Doctorate’s degree in Physical Therapy at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2016. Sara has most of her experience in outpatient Orthopedics, post-operative conditions, and geriatric rehabilitation. Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and traveling!
Dr. Christopher Wuttke
Chiropractor
Dr. Christopher Wuttke (pronounced Wookiee) is a Chiropractor at the Health and Fitness Professional at the Freehold, NJ location. Dr. Wuttke earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He then attended the University of Bridgeport, School of Chiropractic to pursue his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Throughout his collegiate career, he received training in a variety of adjusting and myofascial techniques and has gained experience treating different types of musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions. Dr. Wuttke, through a rotation at the VA Hospital in Newington, Connecticut, treated a variety of conditions including Spinal Stenosis, Disc Herniations, and Radiculopathies while co-managing with acupuncture, primary care physicians, and rehabilitative exercises. Currently, he is an active member of the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council, American Chiropractic Association Rehab Council, and Association of New Jersey Chiropractors.
During his free time, Dr. Wuttke enjoys watching Action and Sci-Fi movies. He also finds great joy in spending quality time with friends, family, and his rescue dog Duke. Dr. Wuttke is a nature enthusiast, regularly hiking national parks, and has a passion for immersing himself in new cultures and foods.
Briana Mortizen
Occupational Therapist
Briana Moritzen is an Occupational Therapist at the Health and Fitness Professionals office located in Woodbridge, NJ. She attended the University of Scranton where she graduated with both her Bachelor of Health Science in 2020 and Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2022. Briana has clinical experience in long-term care, psychiatric, pediatric, subacute nursing, and outpatient orthopedics and has worked with various populations and ages ranging from 2-month-olds to geriatrics. Briana has treated diverse conditions including cognitive impairments, neuromuscular deficits, post-surgical orthopedic conditions, progressive diseases, acute injuries, and chronic injuries.
Briana is passionate about treating the upper extremity and sports related injuries; she is certified in PAMs and dynamic splinting and hopes to gain more certifications to continue to provide quality care and further help people reach their full potential.
When not treating or taking courses, Briana enjoys spending time with her dog and being outdoors – whether it’s relaxing at the beach, sailing on a lake, going on a run, or hiking trails. She also enjoys reading a good book, painting, and checking out trendy food and coffee spots.
Jim Ehirim
Physical Therapist Assistant

Jim graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science in 2008 and completed his training to become a Physical Therapist Assistant at Union County College in 2011.
Jim enjoys working in the outpatient setting where he believes in an integrative, progressive, hands-on approach towards patient care, focusing on the individual needs and personalized goals of each patient. He has a strong interest and background in sport-specific rehab and recovery, utilizing his certification in Functional Movement Screening to address poor and restricted movement patterns to improve mobility.
Outside of work, Jim loves spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog. He is an avid football fan (go Buccaneers!) and will happily share his fantasy football pro tips. With interests ranging from technology to grilling to shoes, Jim is always learning about new things and loves finding new hobbies.
Brittny Drigan
Occupational Therapist
Brittny Drigan is an Occupational Therapist at the Health and Fitness Professionals office located in Scotch Plains, NJ. She attended The Pennsylvania State University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Health Science in 2018. She then went on to get her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy at the Sacred Heart University where she graduated in 2020. Brittny has worked with variety of different ages and has clinical experience in long term care, subacute nursing, psychiatric, pediatrics and outpatient orthopedics. Brittny has treated a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, cognitive conditions, acute/chronic injuries and post-surgical conditions. Brittny is looking forward to helping patients achieve success and improve their functionals skills to be able to engage in their environment and lives independently and to the best of their ability. While not treating, Brittny enjoys traveling, spending time with her dog, reading a book, snowboarding, going down to her beach house in LBI, and spending time with her friends and family.
Matthew Barber
Chiropractor
Dr. Matt grew up in Westfield, New Jersey. After high school he attended SUNY Cortland, where he was a collegiate athlete and became an All-State wrestler his freshman year. Due to multiple head and neck injuries, he was forced to end his season early. He finally found relief from his first chiropractic adjustment after going to multiple specialists who could not help him. Dr. Matt decided to become a chiropractor after realizing how well the principles of chiropractic philosophy aligned with his beliefs on health. He changed his major to a Bachelors of Science in his undergraduate years and eventually graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 2022. He earned an advanced certificate in Sport Science and Human Performance and got to do his clinical training at the Levittown Health Center in Long Island, New York. Dr. Matt is excited to be a part of the Health and Fitness Professionals team and to start using his skill to help serve the community.
Dr. Igor Katsnelson
Physical Therapist
Dr. Igor Katsnelson PT, DPT has nearly 10 years of experience in the Physical Therapy field spanning from home care to outpatient. Since graduating from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in 2010 with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, he has been excelling in all avenues of health including mind, body, and spirit. Utilizing a multifaceted mode of healing, he has found, improves longevity and efficacy of treatment. Aside from his beloved occupation, Dr. Igor continues to play soccer and volleyball, as he did during his undergraduate education, representing the Ramapo College of NJ while majoring in Biology. Tsung “Michael” Lee
Acupuncturist
Tsung (Mike) Lee, L.Ac, is a board certified, licensed acupuncturist, who holds double Masters of Chinese Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2014 and has practiced in New Jersey for the past eight years. Mike takes great pride in his work, and is a great Acupuncturist, and treats each patient as an individual, because every patient is different with regards to their pain.
Mike, is constantly learning and updating and incorporating new knowledge of Western medicine into the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine. Mike is always gaining more knowledge to help improve every patient’s level of pain with his unique treatment plan for each patient.
In his spare time, he likes to attend medical seminars and gain more knowledge related to traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine.
