Been seeing Alex (physical therapist) at Health Care Professionals for a month. Initiated treatment due to a recurring issue with a herniated disk (L5). I am a fitness enthusiast, training 4-5 times a week. Training consistently is a top priority in my life. However, doing so at times (when done incorrectly) increases your risk of re-injury. While rowing I caused an acute event that prohibited me from even walking without difficulty. I was desperate to be pain free and get back to the gym. Due to the number of recommendations I received about Alex, I figured I would give t a try. All I can say is Alex is an incredible therapist. Results are everything; the amount of success achieved requires certain variables to be in place: a therapist who listens, a therapist who cares and wants to see you functionally living your life pain free, a therapist who knows how to challenge his patients for faster results and a patient who is committed. Alex balances these variables incredibly; I was back to training within a week. He provides you with knowledge about body mechanics so you can avoid injury in the future. I would highly recommend Alex to anyone who may be suffering or living with pain. Taking pain meds just masks the issue; never addressing the root cause and comes with a host of other concerning issues. Treatment with Alex is proactive and empowering! The methods Alex teaches you put you in the driver seat and gives you back control!
