After earning his Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Dr. Ferrer earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, where he attended on the Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarship. Dr. Ferrer went on to complete an internal medicine internship at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, New Jersey. He completed both his residency and fellowship training through Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey and JFK Johnson Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. Dr. Ferrer prides himself on being able to perform a variety of effective nonsurgical procedures where he can optimize patient outcomes and shorter recovery times for various types of conditions and injuries. He has extensive training and certification in medical acupuncture to help patients recover from chronic pain-causing conditions and sports injuries.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ferrer has helped author articles on youth rotator cuff injuries and interventional pain management assessment techniques for pain medicine fellows. Dr. Ferrer regularly hosts community lectures on the numerous innovative treatment options for pain management. Patients of Dr. Ferrer appreciate his willingness to go above and beyond to ensure they experience relief from pain and receive the education they need to be informed about their health care. Dr. Ferrer wants to help patients get back to their regular activities quickly without pain or surgical procedures.
